If you are looking for a standard flat canicross course … this is not it!
We offer two new routes on this event. The longer one is currently our only half marathon distance. It runs mainly on wide trails and forest roads but does have several sections of single track to enjoy too. The course will be marshalled and marked. It has all the beautiful views that you’ve come to associate with Lakeland Paws, which include Coniston Water, The Old Man of Coniston and the Langdale Pikes. You are welcome to run two dogs on this route. We are still finalising the exact route for the day, but the map and ascent graph below will give you a very good indication of what to expect. We will have one aid station on the half marathon course.
Our second route on this course is very similar to our West Side 10k route, but follows more of the half marathon route at the start. Again, this route is still potentially a work in progress. There will not be an aid station on the 12k option.
We do not operate any time limits. Everyone is free to walk or run as much as they and their dog feel able to. Please ensure that you are only moving at a speed that you are comfortable this may mean holding your dog back.
