We’re very excited to bring you the return of our Dawn 2 Dusk event. This will be held at Whinlatter Forest on Saturday 13th Dec and is a lapped event, which people can complete solo or as a pair.

The event will start at 8:30am which is dawn and will close at sunset which is at 15:45. In that time either as a pair or solo you simply complete as many loops as possible. Each lap is 7K long and has 300m of ascent. A full FAQs will be coming for this event but the now, the basics are:

  • Complete as many full laps as possible in the time allowed.
  • Laps can be run with or without a dog – if your dog isn’t used to the distance you will need to think about which laps you do alone.
  • If entered as a pair, each of you has to complete one lap on the day. Laps do not need to be evenly split eg. one runner could do 5 laps and the other runner 2.
  • You can run laps with two dogs or you can run different laps with different dogs or you can run without a dog. It is your responsibility to ensure that any dog not running a lap has adequate care / supervision whilst waiting.
  • You can take breaks from the course at the end of any lap. You do not always need to have someone running.
  • The cafe will be open but you’re also recommended to have a vehicle in the carpark so that you have somewhere dry and warm to rest too.
  • Any laps started, but not completed before 15:45 will not count towards your total.
